The Covid-19 virus and pandemic has virtually affected the global economy and the Philippine real estate is not immune to it. For us who are in the business of buying and selling properties on behalf of our clients especially in the areas of San Juan, New Manila, Quezon City, Makati, Pasig and BGC in Taguig, this has also allowed us to reach out to our clients and prospective buyers and sellers who may have been impacted by the pandemic.

While everyone is encouraged to stay home 24/7, practice hygiene and social distancing, your favourite RE/MAX brokers John and Daphne have provided 3 useful hacks that you can start now to minimize the spread of #CoronaVirus 👍

1. Sterilize. Sterilize. Sterilize- you need to clean all areas of the house regularly now more than ever especially since the lockdown primarily because you are inside you homes every single day (unless you’re a frontliner helping combat the Covid-19 virus) and may leave traces of dirt and bacteria. This includes your bathrooms, shoe cabinets, kitchen and bedroom. You may want to sanitize your TV, computer, gadgets and remote control.

For us we use UVCare germ zapper to make sure our rooms and surroundings are germ-free. We turn on the zapper with a self-timer of 30 minutes and place it in all areas of our home like bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms and kitchen. As UV heat will not only kill the virus, it also kills bedbugs (surot) which causes skin itch in babies and adults. We also have a UVCare sterilizer that we have been using for 3 years already ever since the #YuTriplets were born. This has helped us remove harmful germs and virus on the feeding bottles, plates and even toys that the kids are using on a regular basis. If you don’t have UVCare, you may sanitize your pillows and mattress the traditional way by exposing this to the sun for a least 2-3 hours to kill the bedbugs.

2. Drink plenty of water- The summer heat is unforgiving, and staying home would mean we are less mobile, all the more you need to drink water of at least 8-12 glasses of water daily. We have invested in a filtration device last year that filters tap water and provides clean (99.9%) water safe for drinking. This saves us a lot of time having water delivered to our homes. This is especially useful now as personal interaction including deliveries at home are limited due to social distancing. Investing in a water filtration system was a blessing for us as we consume a lot especially when the triplets were born. If your water delivery guys is not able to bring potable water to your home during the quarantine period, we suggest that you boil you water prior to consuming it to be extra safe. Always have clean potable water as you hydrate regularly.

3. Wash fruits and vegetables by mixing water and baking soda- this is one way to remove the toxins and corona virus that may have come in contact with the food that we delivered to you. Another tip is to peel the fruits before eating to avoid coming in contact with the virus.
